I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you end up buying them?

How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they keep their shape and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?

How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.
